Our mission is to provide a safe space where human connection, personal growth, and mental health are as prioritized as physical health - where self-love, self-care, and emotional well-being are nurtured from childhood to adulthood. Heather Ames is a dedicated innovator, storyteller, and advocate for mental wellness. With a background in sales, marketing, and media production, she has spent her career making important conversations around mental health more accessible. She co-founded The Safe Space Collective with Michael Fishman, combining their shared vision for personal growth, support, and community.

Previously, Heather served as Director of Development for a nonprofit supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, where she played a key role in fundraising, outreach, and program expansion. Her experience in ABA therapy deepened her understanding of neurodiversity and the challenges of accessing quality care. Now, through The Safe Space Collective, she and Michael are building an inclusive, judgment-free space where people can find support, meaningful connections, and a true sense of belonging.

Together, they are combining their expertise in media and community engagement to inspire empathy, encourage important conversations, and reshape the way people approach mental health. As a mother, collaborator, and advocate, Heather believes in the power of storytelling to challenge stigma, spark change, and create a culture of healing. With their leadership, The Safe Space Collective is evolving into a transformative platform that will uplift, educate, and empower millions.
